Site Description: This blinder can be seen from sea, except in the
highest spring tide. Conditions are usually clear in the summer after
a good upwelling. A drift line might be considered as currents either
at the surface or at depth sometimes occur. Swells can also build
up quickly resulting in strong surge. A pinacle often visited by
playful seals and host to colourful marine growth such as, hard and
soft cold-water coral, nudibranchs and deep water cowries.
Hottentot, galjoen and other species of fish are plentiful, and
there is a large tunnel running through the base of the rock.
