Site Description: Although she was scuttled on 12 November
1994, her history is quite interesting. Formerly the HMS Pelorus
that led the D-day invasion of Normandy in the Second World War,
sold to the South African Navy in 1947 for use as a training
vessel. She was later converted to a minesweeper. Today she
forms an artificial reef and being in perfect condition makes an
excellent wreck penetration dive for those qualified to do so.
Best dived in the winter months and don't forget your torch.
