Site Description: Resting on Sunset Rocks after a tow cable
snapped on 29 July 1977. This 20 000 ton Liberian oil tanker
was en route to a Taiwanese breaker's yard when she sank.
Although most of the bow was destroyed, the stern section is still
fairly in tact and approximately 200m off shore. There is strong
suction through the hull and penetration in not recommended
without proper training and correct gear. Interesting fittings and
portholes make good photo props, and rememeber your torch for
for a better look at the mysterious interior. The Cape Doctor
ensures clear water in the summer months.
