Site Description: The Glencairn Quarry on the mountainside
opposite lends it's name to this site. The reefs extend straight
out to the south from the shore and consisit of rocky gullies.
A number of tyres have been dumped in the sea here to create
an artificial reef and attract sea life. Being a success there are now
a variety of reef fish, nudibranchs and big sea fans to be seen.
Surge can be quite strong as it is quite shallow and this site is best
dived in winter after a strong north-wester.
